A. Information You Provide Directly

• Account Credentials: Full Name, Email Address, and Password when creating an account through Google Firebase Authentication.
• Profile Information: Contact Mobile Number and optional Profile Avatar photo which you may upload to personalize your account.
• Personalized Wishlist: The specific gold jewellery items and design IDs you bookmark to your private wishlist.
• Customer Inquiries & Feedback: Information you voluntarily transmit when contacting our support or requesting custom jewellery details.

B. Information Collected Automatically

• Device Information: Device model, operating system version (e.g. Android 13/14), screen resolution, and language settings to optimize interface rendering.
• Crash & Diagnostic Logs: Anonymous performance statistics and crash traces generated during application errors to help our engineering team troubleshoot issues.
• IP Address & Network State: Standard internet protocol address collected temporarily by Google Firebase servers for request routing and DDoS mitigation.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data solely for legitimate service purposes, including:

• Authenticating your identity and preventing unauthorized access to your account.
• Synchronizing your saved wishlist items across your devices in real time via Cloud Firestore.
• Displaying tailored catalogue collections, categories, and newly added gold jewellery designs.
• Enabling native design sharing to messaging and social apps (e.g. WhatsApp, Instagram) with images and weights via Android FileProvider.
• Maintaining stability, diagnosing bugs, and enhancing app performance.

3. Device Permissions & Hardware Access

The Gold Catalogue Android application requests only the permissions strictly required to execute core features:

• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to query the latest gold catalogue designs, real-time product prices/weights, and synchronize your saved wishlist.
• READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Optional permission requested only if you choose to select a photo from your gallery to set as your profile avatar.
• FileProvider Sharing: Temporary read-permission granted securely to third-party applications (like WhatsApp or Gmail) when you explicitly tap "Share Design" to share a jewellery card.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

Our backend infrastructure relies on reputable enterprise cloud services compliant with global privacy and security standards:

• Google Firebase (Google LLC): We utilize Firebase Authentication for user accounts, Cloud Firestore for product catalogues and wishlists, and Firebase Storage for jewellery imagery. Google's privacy policy can be reviewed at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Glide (Bumptech): A lightweight open-source image loading and disk-caching library for Android that caches high-resolution jewellery photos on your local device to reduce data consumption.

5. Data Security & Retention

We enforce rigorous technical safeguards to protect your personal data:

• Encryption in Transit: All communications between the Gold Catalogue app and Firebase servers are encrypted using modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3/HTTPS).
• Firestore Security Rules: Server-enforced access control rules guarantee that only authenticated users can read or write their own private profile and wishlist documents.
• Data Retention: Your account information and wishlist are retained as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your personal data is purged from our database immediately.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion Request

You have complete control over your personal data under applicable data privacy regulations (including GDPR, CCPA, and Google Play Data Safety policies):

• Right to Access & Rectify: You can view and edit your name, mobile number, and profile picture directly from the in-app "Edit Profile" screen.
• Right to Erase (Account Deletion): You may request complete account and data deletion at any time. Simply tap "Delete Account" in your profile or send an email from your registered address to sonirupesh51@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". All associated database records will be permanently erased within 7 business days.
• Right to Restrict Processing: You can sign out at any time to clear local cached sessions on your device.

7. Children's Privacy

Gold Catalogue is a jewellery showcase application intended for adults and general audiences. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we promptly delete such data from our servers.
